Soft Sheen founders Ed and Bettiann Gardner honored by young entrepreneurs

Ed Gardner, now 82 years old, may have sold Soft Sheen Products Inc. in 1998, but he still looks for its ethnic hair care products on store shelves.

His wife Bettiann, 78, cofounder of the Chicago business in 1964, does not.
